What Brought Me To This Work?

“The long and winding road” that brings me here is an interest in the arts, the ancient world, self knowledge and the need for community. Inspirations include loved ones, memories of museums and videos about travel, design and esoterica. Family brought me back to Canada and Fort Erie, and I was blessed with a little house built in 1922. This home provided a space to display a few paintings that appeared as oracle cards, CD covers, illustrations and book and magazine covers. From a modest basement, an appealing gallery and hangout evolved. The conversations taking place confirmed this space was conducive to one-on-one consultations. I also realized that the artwork would be an intriguing backdrop for Jungian therapy.

What Services Do I Offer?

SPACE RENTAL
MYTHOS is available to counsellors, life coaches and card readers/intuitive therapists who seek to expand their practice to the Fort Erie/Ridgeway area. In addition to the basement art gallery, the upstairs has a garden-like atmosphere, if preferred. Both spaces are PRIVATE during consultations. Refreshments are provided. Outdoor seating will be available. Small gatherings (pop ups, etc.) involving both gallery and upstairs are available.

MYTHOS Art and Counselling is a work in progress, striving to improve in providing a warm, aesthetic, home environment. Please visit http://www.lisairis.ca, and/or call 289-320-9819 or email lisairisart@gmail.com for an appointment to see if MYTHOS works for you.

What philosophy do I live by?

The further you go back in time, the closer you are to the truth. Mythology, art and dreams provide the symbols and metaphors that help us recover from spiritual amnesia and reclaim our identity and purpose.
