Spirituality in a Time of Chaos

Over the last 30 years I have been looking for an answer to the thought; there has to be more than this. I have read and I have travelled to attend many workshops all designed to help people live healthy and happy lives. I have studied Nutrition and Iridology, muscle testing, Bach Flowers, Metamorphosis and Reiki just to name a few. I have read about Buddhism, Native North American and South American beliefs, shamans and channelers, tarot and psychics. A Course In Miracles kept coming up in books by Wayne Dyer and Doreen Virtue and one day in a bookstore in Orangeville a copy jumped off the shelf in front of me. This was a lifesaving moment and I know that all the other courses I took and books I read lead me to a point where I was able to embrace it. The course helped me realize my self-worth and find love for myself and others. Love is something that cannot be taught and unless you are willing to embrace it; unattained. Without self-love we can easily be lead astray by fear and guilt.
When I met Bob the course was a common interest and it became a bond between us. He also read A Course In Miracles. When the spiritual group consciousness of the one who we have called We Are One approached us it was to help raise the light and love of the people of the planet. Their purpose was and is healing in mind and body. They advise; but in the end it must be you who makes the effort to heal. Today more than ever we need to love and trust ourselves. It is crucial. I know that many of you don’t believe in mysticism or Jesus because you have been taught to fear it. Jesus is not the Church. The church is men who wish to control the Jesus narrative; but I am sure Jesus would be throwing over the tables so to speak if he saw the golden monuments of the church. A Course In Miracles is a handbook of spiritual psychotherapy and helps us know our self-worth. It teaches you that you have a direct line to God and you don’t need the middle man- it is a self-study program to reprogram your mind and toss out all the lies you have been taught. It is meditation and affirmations and conversation. It allows you to purge doubt and guilt and helps you let go of fear. It resets you to factory settings through the atonement.
What does this mean to you? It reminds you that you are not a physical being having a spiritual experience; but a soul attached to a physical body. You are a spiritual being first and you are attached to a physical story. The soul or spirit is a direct energy source joined with a higher self that is one with a God or Universal consciousness – a Christ consciousness encapsulated in a body. The body gives us a voice as we are not yet telepathic consciousness wandering about. The one small problem with this scenario is that the body has its own consciousness and voice. We call that the ego and it loves to shout its stories from the rooftops. You have heard of the squeaky wheel syndrome. The louder you speak the more likely you are to be heard and the ego does not know what self-love is. It only knows it wants more and will do whatever it thinks will help it to find some version of worth outside itself. The true self; the higher self knows the truth is within and can never be found outside of itself. The journey is an inner one and that is the only one of true value. Yes we need to nourish and protect our vehicle; the body; but we need to keep perspective. We need to know what to believe and we need to breathe and calmly choose our path.

In our book Today’s Divine Family; Living in Love Not Fear (in this case Divine means awakened) on pages 104-105 we discuss this.
“Holy Spirit teaches us how to love ourselves as we never have before. When we learn to love ourselves more, we open the door to allow peace and joyfulness to enter and replace our negative ego thoughts we have been holding onto.
It is impossible to perceive someone as less than yourself without perceiving yourself as less than another.
The ego encourages you to make yourself feel special.”
So how does all of this help you today when we feel like Chicken Little and the sky is falling in? I am reminded of the movie “Don’t Look Up” where people were told not to look to the sky because if they did they would see the comet that was going to annihilate their planet. We are surrounded by chaos and lies and fear is the driving force as we cannot see a likable solution. We have lost faith in our decision makers. Returning to A Course in Miracles we are told if we listen and say nothing we are part of the problem and we condone it. The course would have us act and forgive. Forgive yourself for being drawn into the fear for fear is the ego, and it isn’t love therefore it isn’t real. That’s a mouthful. Let it go- forgive yourself. The course also tells us that you cannot argue with insanity or solve a problem with an insane person. This also makes us feel ill at ease. What can you do with so much external noise? Pretending it isn’t happening doesn’t really help; because you are a vibrational being and part of a collective consciousness, and they believe like Chicken Little that the sky in fact is falling in upon them. When I was a child during the Cuban Missile crisis, and the Cold War, people with means built underground shelters and stocked them; because doing that helped them deal with their fear. In school we had duck and cover drills. It gave people something to focus on while world leaders with cooler heads talked it through. Communication saved us from annihilation.
So what spiritual solution is there for you today? How do you maintain your calm so your head is clear and your decisions are based on fact not verbal abuse? Focus on what you can do and limit your news time to the summaries. Blow by blow will blow your mind. Make time for yourself to be calm and do something you love. Be with people you love who also want to have a positive experience. Take time for uplifting music, and dance when you can. Meditate and focus on that deep breath. When we are stressed we breathe in short small inhalations and the lungs need a deep inhale in order to calm the diaphragm and your mind. Take a walk- embrace the sunshine and the smell of spring in the air. Read a book that is self-healing and brings you pleasure. What else makes you happy?
I am currently reading two books. Nick Redfern’s book Top Secret, The Pyramids and the Pentagon. The American military is searching for Noah’s Ark. I had no idea.
The second is Marianne Williamson’s book The Mystic Jesus; The MIND of LOVE. I truly love this book as she actualizes Jesus as a man that was able to become pure loving consciousness.
On Page 64 she states – “If you’re having a difficult time in a relationship, see him (Jesus) embracing you both. Before you go into a meeting, bless everyone in the room. Pray silently to be a vessel of love, pray that Holy Spirit pour forth His spirit on the gathering, and ask Him to use you to help heal the world. Pray to see and appreciate the value of everyone who is gathered. See Jesus with his arms around everyone; see him sitting at a conference table where you’re having an important meeting, see him embracing everyone involved if you’re having a difficult conversation.
None of these visions are idle fantasies.”
In the past when I was working and doing presentations and meetings I would Reiki the room before starting. It always cleared the space and leads to better results. This truly does work as you are setting intent and the Angels listen. Give it a try. We are living through a very trying time and people need our calm and loving support. To fill yourself with worry and fear will not help you. There is always a better way. Please find yours.
God Bless you with love, light and healing energies. We Are One in this battle where darkness wishes to gain control. Do not give in, never give in. You are in your truest form a child of God – pure light and pure love, and you are never alone.
