Originally from Poland, I am a third-generation card reader who learned traditional methods using playing cards from my grandmother. My grandmother’s mother was privileged to learn this rare gift from a true gypsy. In Europe, gypsies were known for their fortune telling and kept their methods a secret from anyone who was not a member of their inner circle. One day, my great-grandmother was discovered by an elder gypsy in her city. This gypsy took a liking to her, and confirmed what my great-grandmother had known instinctually for years: that she possessed great spiritual power within her. That’s when this gypsy recognized my great-grandmother’s ability and taught her the wisdom of traditional gypsy card reading. At that time, it was forbidden in Poland for gypsies and Europeans to associate with one another. My great-grandmother never shared the gypsy’s card methods with anyone except her daughter, my grandmother, and close friends or family. Not wanting to waste what she had learned, my great-grandmother taught my grandmother how to read playing cards the way her gypsy friend had shown her many years before. My grandmother immediately picked up the method after being shown only once. It was then that my great-grandmother realized that my grandmother also possessed natural spiritual ability and that it could be passed down each generation. Fast forward to four years ago when I experienced some challenging health issues. This troubling period of my life brought many difficulties with it, but it also brought to the surface many blockages that were preventing me from living a life of true spiritual awaking. I realized that my physical aliments were a manifestation of the inner battles I had not yet fought within myself. I truly believe my higher self forced me to experience this obstacle so that I could learn from my past mistakes, realize what’s important in life, and understand how to live with a greater sense of purpose and destiny. After this epiphany, I realized that I had a number of spiritual tools from my childhood available to me, and that I could use them to help others achieve their own spiritual breakthrough. I then decided to learn shambhala reiki, craniosacral therapy, and other healing services to give my clients the best possible chance for success. For me, my spirituality work is about helping others. I also want to honour and thank my ancestors, my guides, and the universe for teaching me the lessons I needed to learn.
